Afenyo-Markin presents 100 laptops to Effutu teachers under digital support initiative

Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has donated 100 brand new laptops to 100 newly posted teachers in his constituency.
The presentation took place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as part of efforts to support teachers and enhance teaching and learning in schools across the Effutu Municipality.
Mr Afenyo-Markin said the donation was intended to equip the newly posted teachers with the necessary tools to deliver quality education and integrate technology into classroom instruction.
He noted that access to digital tools has become essential for modern teaching and encouraged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the laptops to improve lesson preparation, research and student engagement.
The Minority Leader also used the occasion to commend the teachers for accepting postings to the constituency and urged them to remain committed to shaping the future of the young people under their care.
The 100 beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the laptops as timely support that would ease their work and boost their confidence in the classroom.
The donation forms part of ongoing interventions by the Effutu MP to support education and improve learning outcomes in the constituency.
