The Ekow Assafuah Foundation, in collaboration with JOFEL Catering Services and Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), have extended support to inmates at Kumasi Central Prison, providing hope behind bars.
As part of the initiative, the team distributed approximately 2,500 packed meals, drinks, and water to ensure that the inmates felt seen, valued, and remembered.
The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Lawyer Vincent Ekow Assafuah who led the team to the prison assured the inmates that beyond feeding the body, their effort aimed to uplift their spirits and reassure them that they are not forgotten.

This is a statement to everyone here and across the various prisons in the country that you are not forgotten. There is hope beyond these bars.
I as an MP, will continue to champion for a better welfare for prisoners. Thankfully, the Interior Minister is my elder brother, and I have colleague MPs like Francis Xavier Sosu who are passionate about human rights.
We will work to ensure that your human rights are championed.” Hon. Assafuah stated to the inmates who beamed with smiles and applause over his gesture and commitment.
The ‘Ekow Assafuah Foundation’ is a non-profit organization. It is dedicated to providing relive to the downtrodden in the society.
