Has Justin Kodua Disqualified Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh?

Over the past week, tensions have been rising within the New Patriotic Party in the Western Region following allegations that the General Secretary, Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, may be behind the disqualification of Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh from contesting for the position of Regional Secretary.
These concerns have gained momentum because Hon. Bonzoh is widely regarded as a strong candidate with a realistic chance of defeating the incumbent Regional Secretary, who is perceived by some party members as the preferred candidate of the General Secretary.
For more than twenty years, Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh has served the New Patriotic Party with loyalty, dedication and sacrifice. He served as the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Ellembelle for sixteen years and later served as District Chief Executive for Ellembelle for eight years under the Akufo-Addo administration. His commitment to the party and contribution to its development cannot reasonably be questioned.
Despite presenting his academic credentials and supporting documents to the Regional Appeals Committee, his disqualification was upheld. This has left many loyal party members asking an important question: why is Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh being denied the opportunity to contest?
Believing in the principles of fairness, justice and internal democracy that have always guided the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Bonzoh has appealed the decision to the National Steering Committee.
His appeal has been submitted to:
Mr. Smith Danquah, Acting National Chairman
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Presidential Candidate
Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, Majority Leader
Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary
Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh remains confident that justice will prevail and that every qualified and committed party member will be given a fair opportunity to serve.
**Justice. Fairness. Service.**
