Otumfuo honours  McDan with Gold Coin medal as a symbol of entrepreneurial Leadership

The Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group, Daniel McKorley, has been recognised for his contributions to aviation and business development at a high-profile international gathering in Kumasi.

He received the honour at the “World-Meets-in-Ghana Executive Dinner Ball” held at the Manhyia Palace, an event organised to celebrate the 27th coronation anniversary of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The event, themed “Advancing Peace & Sustainable Economic Development Through Royal Vision,” brought together government officials, business leaders, members of the diplomatic community, and development partners to recognise individuals contributing to Ghana’s economic transformation.

McKorley was presented with the Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Medal in recognition of what organisers described as his transformative leadership in business, particularly his investments in aviation and logistics, which have helped create jobs and support economic activity.

Organisers noted that his role in expanding private sector participation in key industries, including aviation infrastructure, has contributed to strengthening Ghana’s position as a regional business hub.

The ceremony formed part of broader efforts to honour individuals whose work aligns with the Asantehene’s vision of peace-driven and sustainable development.

McDan Group’s recognition adds to a growing list of acknowledgements for private sector leaders playing active roles in infrastructure, trade, and investment across Ghana’s emerging economic sectors.
