Blame Games after Election 2024: Nitiwul calls for ceasefire

Member of Parliament for Bimbila, Dominic Nitiwul has called for a ceasefire on blame games after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lost the 2024 elections.

According to him, this should be when the political party comes together, buries differences, and forge ahead.

Nitiwul made this known when he spoke to Accra-based Asempa FM in an interview on Monday, February 10, 2025.

To him, the pointing of fingers, shifting blame and accusations will do no good to the party but will only ensure that they lose in 2028.

Dominic Nitiwul believes that the NPP must learn from the NDC in opposition when they rallied together as a unit to fight for power in 2024 and not continue to wash their dirty linen in public.

“All that helped the NDC was that Mahama was one candidate. From 2016 to 2024, all the other people who contested him were just dress rehearsals for another election. So they were united behind John Mahama and no one could come and allege corruption, state capture and others against them.”.
